it’s a small world. i met bree at church a few weeks ago, and she and ben have been in denver for about 3 years. it turns out that they both grew up in iowa, which is where i was born, and i still have family there. we got to talking more about iowa, and it came up that her family is dutch {i’m 50% viking, as david’s dad likes to call me}. but the best part is that she knows and loves my favorite dutch bakery in pella, iowa! jaarsma bakery has t.h.e. best dutch letters {flaky, almond pastries} that i’ve ever tasted, and i’ve even started buying them online for friends and family for special occasions. {in fact, it’s about time i buy some for myself!} this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship!
