hasselblad 500c/m, portra 400

a few weeks ago i went out exploring with a good photo friend {brooke peterson}, and we just drove with nowhere in mind, only stopping when brooke noticed a sign for an open space park. we turned in and found white ranch park, which was the perfect spot for our photo excursion, full of beautiful horses, and even a cowboy who stopped by with a horse he was breaking. it was also the perfect opportunity to try out my new hasselblad 500c/m and my first real time shooting square format. i’m in love with the results.

megan and jared. a littleton engement

megan and jared met me bright and early for a sunrise session at jackass hill in littleton. i fully admit that i wasn’t looking forward to getting up around 5am, but it was so completely worth it that i’d be up for it any time. the light was incredible, and the couple wasn’t too shabby either! megan and jared have been together over four years, and during that time jared completed two tours in afghanistan, so these two deserve some down time together. i know megan is so glad to have him back safely in colorado, and i can’t wait to shoot their wedding which will be here very soon!

ice castles at silverthorne

in the week that i’ve been gone, spring has sprung! i’m so excited for flip flops and skirts, but that also means i’ve gotten behind with my blogging!

a few weeks ago david and i went to the ice castles at silverthorne with our friends ben and meredith. my goodness, they were so beautiful, and it was incredible how differently they looked from day to night. it’s been such a warm winter/early spring, so i’m glad we were able to see the castles before they melted!
