Thankfully, I really do love my new students and my new subject, so I’m sure I’ll get used to the faster pace soon enough.
I’ve made it through 1/2 of of the photos I took at Saint George Island, and if it were up to me, I’d have edited a lot more by now! But, duty calls, and school has been a bit more hectic this year since I changed subjects. I’m not complaining – wait, yes I am – but I did ask for this. So, I’m doing my best to complain with a smile.
Well, enough of that!
Here are just a few of what’s to come from the Edwards family pics. I’m hoping to get to the yummy beach pictures this weekend. This particular batch wasn’t planned, but I couldn’t help picking up my camera when I saw sweet Sadie sipping her juice! Isn’t she the cutest?
Apparently Sadie does a “head tilt” whenever she gets something to drink!
While we were at the beach last week, Andy, Susan and the kids (the “other” Mullins) came to visit for a day. I was so excited that they were able to come! Susan is more a sister than a sister-in-law, and she shares my love of photography, so we always have a great time together. We often wish that we lived closer so we could hang out more and start a family business.
Well, knowing that Susan loves photography, I knew she’d be up for a photo shoot. So we packed up the whole family and drove to the National Park on Saint George. It was a beautiful evening with a model family.
I had such an amazing time in Saint George for my birthday. Well, it was a few days after my birthday, but the wait was well worth it! The vacation was David’s birthday gift to me, as we didn’t get a chance to make it to the beach during summer vacation. I was so glad that he was excited about inviting a few of our closest friends to join in the fun, and “the other Mullins family” was even able to make it down for a day.
Thankfully, I have friends and family who are ready and willing to be photographed because that was truly the best gift anyone could give me. However, the “Photoshop for Photographers” book that Justin got me is definitely right up there too! It’ll take years before I can try everything in the book, and I’m going to enjoy every new little thing it has to teach me.
Unfortunately, I’m not able to edit as quickly as over the summer since the duty of school calls. I’m hoping to get quite a few done this weekend, but until then here are a few I fixed last night.
